The Government have published a new Environmental Improvement Plan.
This should be considered alongside other Government strategies, including the England Trees Action Plan, the England Peat Action Plan, and the GB Plant Biosecurity Strategy.
The Plan sets out 10 goals to take forward including the following of relevance:
- Goal 1: Thriving plants and wildlife
- Goal 7: Mitigating and adapting to climate change
- Goal 9: Enhancing biosecurity
- Goal 10: Enhancing beauty, heritage and engagement with the natural environment
