Corporation Park Supporters Group (CPSG) is working with Blackburn with Darwen Council and Historic England to secure support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to restore Blackburn’s Grade II listed Victorian Conservatory, based at Corporation Park.
Subject to securing funding, this once-celebrated horticultural attraction and sanctuary for cotton mill workers has the potential to become a thriving centre for horticultural education, environmental research, skills development and community engagement.
We are seeking a long-term educational or horticultural partner to help bring this vision to life through learning programmes, public events and community activities. Together, we can preserve an important part of Blackburn’s heritage while creating a lasting community asset for future generations and help reframe the national perception of a former mill town.
