The Chartered Institute of Horticulture invites colleges, universities and teaching organisations across the UK and Ireland to take part in our Student Poster Competition at the CIH Skills Summit Conference 2026.

This is an opportunity for students to showcase their creativity, achievements, ideas and aspirations to horticultural professionals from across the industry.
Your Challenge
Create a single A1 poster that demonstrates:
🌱 The talent within your institution
🌱 The value of horticultural education
🌱 Innovative projects, research or practical work
🌱 Why horticulture offers exciting and rewarding career opportunities
Posters will be displayed throughout the conference and judged by delegates on the day.

Poster submission deadline: 23 October 2026

Posters should be A1 in size, either portrait or landscape. The deadline for completion is 23rd October 2026, with posters to be sent to BGA House, Nottingham Road, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 0WB.
Please get in contact once you have decided to participate. This enable us to gauge the display area required at the CIH Skills Summit Conference on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at RBG Kew. Please note, posters received without completion of the Competition Form may not be able to be displayed and included for judging at the event. One poster to be submitted per college/institution. Please note, posters will not be able to be returned following the conference.
