A two year horticultural traineeship is available with Perennial – Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society​ at their fabulous arts and crafts garden – York Gate Garden​ in Leeds.

  • Can you demonstrate a commitment and passion for a career in horticulture?
  • Have you some previous practical experience of working in the horticulture industry, paid or voluntary?
  • Are you looking for a hands-on practical training opportunity?

York Gate is a one acre garden, divided into a series of smaller gardens with different themes and in contrasting styles. These include the Dell with half-hidden pathways and a stream, the famous herb garden with topiary and summerhouse, and a newer more contemporary garden with grasses and summer-flowering perennials. It is open to visitors five afternoons per week throughout Spring and Summer. Find out more about the garden here.
