The Horticulture and Landscaping Trailblazer Group are pleased to announce that the Horticulture and Landscaping Technical Manager apprenticeship (England) is now available for starts.  This apprenticeship is level five (foundation degree difficulty) and suitable for those in gardening, grounds maintenance or landscaping who manage horticultural sites.  Content includes management of horticultural operations and technical skills plus more generic business, project and people management.

Commenting on the announcement, Andrew Griffiths, Operations Manager at idverde said ‘Staff able to proactively manage and improve horticultural sites can be difficult to find and this apprenticeship will provide an accessible course of training that will develop staff into these roles.  It was a pleasure to work collaboratively with people from so many different aspects of horticulture to design this apprenticeship and we are really excited about seeing the first apprentices start this course.’

Providers, does this sounds interesting, want to find out more?

We are also inviting colleges, institutions and employers who might be interested in the apprenticeship to an information event.  The meeting will be online for one hour from 10.00 am on the 4th July and answer the questions:

  • What will the apprentice learn?
  • How do I get started?

We look forward to telling you about this exciting new apprenticeship which will provide a work-based route into senior technical horticultural and entry level management position.
