The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) has opened its Call for Evidence (CfE) for the Shortage Occupation List (SOL) Review to understand sector views on the roles that are being filled by migrant workers, the salaries they are paid and implications of potential changes; more information can be found on the MAC website.
Defra will be submitting a response directly to the MAC and will be seeking some engagement from sector stakeholders to feed into this response. In addition, we encourage you to make your own representations by providing evidence directly to the MAC on why certain occupations should go on the SOL. The CfE will be open until 26 May 2023.
