The Horticulture and Landscaping Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group is a partnership of over 50 employers, trade associations, and educators. Together, we develop, refine, promote, and support horticulture and landscaping apprenticeships.
We are conducting surveys to evaluate how our apprenticeships are working and to inform our future activities. This includes streamlining the documents that determine how the end point assessments (tests) work in line with current government policy. The surveys will also be shared with our partner awarding organisations to assist them in their work.
The survey will open on 13th October and close on 24th November.
Please complete the relevant survey for each apprenticeship:
Register your interest as an employer or apprentice on the new Horticulture and Landscaping Technical Manager apprenticeship here: https://forms.office.com/e/rLva6Yg6FV
Any questions or problems contact the trailblazer facilitator, Ros Burnley (ros@adrow.co.uk).
By participating in these surveys, you will help ensure our existing apprenticeships meet the needs of employers, learners, and training providers. You will also influence the future of apprenticeships in our industries.
Helen Sessions CHort MCIHort – External Relations, The Chartered Institute of Horticulture said:
“Apprenticeships give people the chance to learn on the job, prove their potential, and earn while they train. They don’t just build skills, they shape confident professionals who meet the real needs of employers and the industry.”
More information:
There are currently three horticulture and landscaping apprenticeships. In the 2023-24 academic year there were 690 starts on the horticulture or landscape construction operative apprenticeship from 41 training providers and 71 on the horticulture or landscaping supervisor apprenticeship from 15 training providers. These are therefore important entry and progression routes for the industry.
