The Government published its Food Strategy White Paper on 13th June 2022. To be included within this is the Government’s Horticulture Strategy For England (HSFE section 1.3.3.).
The HSFE will examine the diverse roles of small, large, and emerging growing models, and drive high tech, controlled environment horticulture to increase domestic production.
DEFRA will work with the sector during the development of the HSFE, and there will be opportunity for those in the industry to feed in, potentially including a Call for Evidence.
