We are delighted to invite you to visit the RHS’s newest Garden – Bridgewater.  Reviving the gardens of the historic 62 hectare (154 acre) Worsley New Hall estate to create RHS Garden Bridgewater represents one of the largest gardening projects in Europe. Still under construction, Phase one of the garden will open to the public in 2020.

Alongside the restoration of the Walled Kitchen Garden, other highlights will include the recreation and development of historic features such as the tree-lined Garden Approach, and a reworking of the Lost Terraces, which sit between the lake and the former site of Worsley New Hall. Landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith has been appointed to create the overall master plan for the garden. Find out more about RHS Garden Bridgewater including Phase Two due to open 2024.

The visit which will involve three separate elements, an introductory tour looking at history of the site, Sylvia Traver, CIH member and Wall Garden Supervisor will then show us the 11 acre Walled Garden which will form part of the first section of the site open to the public. Then we will spend some time with their Woodland team leader looking at plans and challenges across the wider site.
