Promoting Excellence in Horticulture Conference

Previously scheduled for April 2020 but now moved to October due to Covid-19. Brought to you by PlantNetwork, Sibbaldia – The International Journal of Botanic Garden Horticulture, and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, this conference celebrates horticultural achievements and considers how we can promote excellent horticultural practice across all public gardens and designed landscapes – whether botanic, heritage or destination gardens.

Part of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh’s 350th anniversary celebrations, the event will cover the past, present and future of horticultural practice. In the company of an exciting programme of speakers there will be opportunities to debate the role of horticulture in the curation and conservation of plants, garden heritage and plant health issues. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals, students and keen amateur gardeners to network; the only prerequisite is an interest in horticulture! We look forward to welcoming you to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in October 2020.

The programme includes speakers from the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Royal Horticultural Society, National Trust for Scotland, Botanic Gardens Conservation International, English Heritage, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and others. This is a virtual event.
