Date – 20 May 2023
Time – 12:00 am
The Eastern Branch will be holding a branch visit on Saturday 20 May 2023 to Bridge Farm Nursery, Spalding and Collison Cut Flowers, near Kings Lynn.
Bridge Farm is a leading grower of bedding and pot plants in the UK and we will be visiting their state-of-the-art facilities and glasshouses where they combine leading-edge technology and horticultural science to grow more than 70 million plants a year using a sustainable approach.
We will go on from here to family-run Collison Cut Flowers in West Norfolk. Collison’s are one of the UK’s leading cut flower growers producing around 35 million stems a year. They employ up to 100 people and supply a range seasonal flowers. May is one of their busiest times of the year with scented stocks and tulips in production.
We will then go on to a nearby café / pub / restaurant for lunch. The cost (excluding lunch) is £10 for members, £15 for non-members.
We are limited to 25 places so will give priority to Eastern Branch members, but please contact eastern@horticulture.org.uk if you would like to add your name to the list.
