Carol Marks, MCIHort, from Bord Bia introduces the Dr David Robinson Memorial Lecture at Powerscourt today (25.10.2018)

Dr David Robinson (image left) was a North Irish horticultural scientist who made important contributions to the national and international fields of horticulture and agriculture throughout his entire life, with more than 120 publications. After a working life in research, retirement saw him become a journalist and television/radio presenter and, as a side-line, a leader of gardening tours around the world. He cultivated and managed the Earlscliffe Gardens at the Baily, Howth, County Dublin, Ireland.

The talk in 2018 will be by Darach Lupton on the Oman Botanic Gardens. Darach is the Head of Botany and Conservation Department and Advisor to Living Collections at Oman Botanic Garden. The talk is being held at Powerscourt Estate, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.
