Join the Scottish heat winners of the Young Horticulturist of the Year in the grand surroundings of Pollok House. Watch and cheer them on as they compete for a place in the Grand Final and a chance to win the £2,500 Percy Thrower Travel Bursary.

Pollok House, this year’s venue for the Scottish final, is set in the picturesque Pollok Country Park, Glasgow. The house was built in 1752 and is the ancestral home of the Stirling Maxwell family. Today, it is managed by the National Trust for Scotland. Find out more about Pollok House here (opens external link).

The contestants will be asked a wide range of horticultural questions, some through buzzer round, and others directed to individuals. There are also two identification rounds to further test the depth and breadth of knowledge. The Scottish final awards 1st place with £150, 2nd place receives £100 and 3rd place £75.  The winner progresses on to the Grand Final at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew on Saturday 11 May.
