A brilliant opportunity to discover the gardens of Wormistoune House, a 17th century Scot’s tower house before travelling on to Backhouse at Rossie to enjoy lunch, and the gardens complete with a national collection of daffodils.
Wormistoune House includes a walled garden, imaginatively clipped yew hedges enclose ‘rooms’ filled with luxuriantly planted herbaceous borders, a productive potager garden, wildflower meadows, an intricate box parterre, water features and a magical shade garden which is home to four of Scotland’s largest Griselinia littoralis specimens.For more information please visit https://scotlandsgardens.org/wormistoune-house
Backhouse at Rossie features a national collection of daffodils, the longest interrupted Rose Archway in Scotland, a grass labyrinth, yew-backed herbaceous borders together with a potage, Victorian glass house, alpine scree and gravel plantings. For more information visit www.backhouserossie.co.uk
