St Andrews Botanic Gardens moved from its town centre site to its present location in the 1960’s when the curator Bob Mitchell and Head Gardener Jim Mackie developed the gardens as they are today. In the 1980’s it was leased to the local authority. A young, enthusiastic team now run the gardens with the remit to increase visitor numbers and we will be shown around the gardens and learn more about the programme of events they organise.

The Cambo Heritage Trust was formed in 1998, to provide learning, training and volunteering opportunities in environment, heritage, arts, culture and horticulture at Cambo Estate. We will be shown around the gardens by their head gardener Elliot Forsyth and learn more about their educational programme.

All welcome, members and non-members. CPD certificates for attendance are available on request from your Branch Events Organiser

The entrance to the Botanic Garden on the Canongate is about 10 minutes walk from the West Port at the west end of South Street. Stagecoach bus 99C, passes the front gate and runs regularly throughout the day. Times are available from the Bus Station in City Road or from http://www.stagecoachbus.com/PdfUploads/Timetable_30775_99%20Fife%20.pdf.
If you come by car there is ample parking just inside the main entrance.
