Advanced National Certificate Course (ANCH) (Level 3)

(Qualification recognised for Associate Membership of the Institute of Horticulture)

One-year courses providing further technical and managerial education, leading to skilled horticultural and supervisory posts, are available to students who have successfully completed a one-year course and obtained the NCH. Exceptionally, students who have taken a one-year full-time course in general agriculture and passed the National Certificate in Agriculture may be admitted.

The courses are designed for students who already possess a sound knowledge of the theory and practices of horticulture, to enable them to attain a high standard of competence in a specialist branch.

Assessment is by written examinations and practical tests.

Courses are available in specialist aspects of Commercial and Amenity horticulture together with General Management.
